Beach Daisy Wine Dinner Featuring Silas Wines Saturday April 20th, 6 p.m. We are proud to present a prix fixe dinner featuring wonderful wines from Willamette Valley’s highly rated Silas Wines. Handcrafted at a biodynamic winery in Amity Oregon, Silas wines include prime examples of old school, small batch, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Winemakers Alex Clark and Tony Markward use only the best fruit sourced from several highly regarded vineyards in the valley. With a nod to their own history, Alex and Tony also create some unusual varietal pairings in wines they call “the Optimist” to remind them that with a little luck, a serendipitous meeting can end in a beautiful, if unpredictable, place. Chef Karen Moyer Wine Guest Alex Clark, winemaker April 20, 2024 $100 per person (gratuity not included) Five-course meal designed and prepared by Chef Karen Moyer and staff. Each course is thoughtfully paired with one of the Silas wines. Dinner location: Yachats Community Presbyterian Church, 360 W 7th Street, Yachats, OR Welcome reception begins at 6 p.m. with a Spruce Tip Spritz crafted with a limited edition local wine from River Folk Farms, Yachats. Dinner begins at 6:30 Alex Clark, Silas winemaker, will join as our guest to charm and beguile you with his tales of wine making, the wines we paired with the meal, an anything else that strikes his fancy. The dinner kicks off with newly released 2022 Silas Brave Combo Pet Nat paired with an amuse bouche made with Alex’s own house-cured Guanciale. The five-course dinner follows, including a decadent finishing touch - a deep dark chocolate flourless cake topped with balsamic poached figs and fresh strawberries paired with a limited edition of Silas’s velvety Malbec made with fruit from famed Leonetti Cellar vineyards in Walla Walla, Washington.
