Forest Bathing: Open Your Senses to the Wonder & Awe of Mushrooms 9:30 am

Saturday Workshops

Location
Yachats Commons
Summary
Leader: Irene Bailey, owner of Temenos Rising Location: Meet at the Yachats Commons at 9:30 am to be guided to the forest location While offering a renewed sense of interconnection with the natural world, forest bathing also allows access to beneficial nervous system states supporting long-term health and well-being. Research has proven that forest bathing boosts immune strength, improves cognitive functioning, and reduces stress, anger, anxiety, depression, and sleeplessness. This mindfulness practice is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to 'forest bathing.' Offered through a series of guided invitations, the walk will help participants move beyond the chatter of the thinking mind and open to a deeper sense of connection, enabling access to new ways of being and a more open relationship with self and others. This intentional practice of presence and awareness cultivates access to powerful experiences of curiosity, awe, and wonder, which help us thrive amidst the ups and downs of life. On This Walk, You will: Slow down and tune into your senses to have more access to noticing mushrooms as well as other flora and fauna. Learn practices to reconnect to the natural world to help you cultivate peace and calm. Wander among spectacular trees and notice the magic and mystery all around you. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to be curious and notice.
